The past centuries, the Baix Vinalopó owned a great olive-producer tradition, where there were several oil mills spread throughout the region. In which it was harvested that typical liquid gold of the Mediterranean that is so important in our diet.

The Tendre’s oil mill is a hundred-year-old company whose origins go back to 1839, when Don Joaquin Sempere Garcia grinded the olive in the mill located in the alley Puertas Tahullas (current Barrio del Raval). Later, in 1873, the mill was moved to the “Huerto del Tendre”, where it is currently located and from which the brand takes its name.


Sempere’s family over 6 generations, has maintained the family’s structure of the Mill “El Tendre“, passing on to their descendants the purest traditional art oil process. So, in this oil mill, despite the modernization of production methods that require the continued evolution of the industry, they still stay true to the spirit of the traditional production process that they kept alive since 1839.
